From Recovery to Discovery

Empowering Communities Through
Trauma-Informed Education

About Us

From Recovery to Discovery was established in late 2022 to transform lives across the UK, with an initial focus on Wales. Our mission is to provide progressive, strength-based, and research-backed learning journeys through our accredited courses and training programmes. Over two years, our directors worked closely with communities, organisations, and individuals to design educational offerings tailored to meet diverse needs. Flexible and inclusive, our approach empowers learners to overcome adversity, embrace resilience, and achieve personal growth.

Establishing Strength-Based Learning

In the two years following the establishment of From Recovery to Discovery, the directors talked to communities, organisations, and individuals to develop the trainings, accredited courses, and support. From these conversations, we recognised that there was a need to develop three different sets of courses that were progressive learning journeys, strength-based, and research-educational.

With the ability to be flexible to meet the wants and needs of the different cohort of learners.

Leadership Team

Graham Clucas (Founder and Director)

Graham has one of those life journeys that would make a good book. In 2005, Graham walked out of prison for the last time and began his own journey of healing. Over the next ten years, Graham found healing and personal growth and trained to be both a psychotherapist and a trainer, working in both corporate and non-profit sectors.

Graham has worked in senior management level roles in several organisations that have peer mentoring at their heart, including being a CEO. Graham’s passion is working with and training peer mentors in a trauma-focused way.

Graham splits his time between working as a psychotherapist, coach, and senior peer mentor, delivering workshops, retreats, and trainings, running From Recovery to Discovery, and enjoying life in North Wales.
