Understanding Trauma

Two-Day Level 2 Accredited Course: Understanding Trauma, Adversity and Stress

Course Overview
This experiential Accredited Course is designed to be delivered at a community level or within organisations. It fosters a learning conversation that not only educates participants on trauma, adversity, and stress but also encourages growth beyond the course. Participants are invited to explore what trauma, adversity, and stress mean to them personally.

If your organisation is considering hosting our two-year peer mentor programme, this course serves as an excellent starting point. Through this conversation, we gain insights into the specific challenges faced by individuals in your organisation or community, enabling us to co-create bespoke units tailored to your unique needs.

Format

The accredited course consists of four flexible three-hour-and-45-minute sessions, which can be delivered in various ways.

As this course is highly experiential, we only deliver it in person. Immersing participants in the six principles of trauma-informed approaches provides the most effective learning experience.

Two of our fully qualified trainers facilitate the sessions, enabling delivery to 16 participants while modelling best practices in trauma-informed approaches.
