Understanding Trauma in a Corporate Environment

Enhancing Employee Well-being and Resilience

In the UK, the Health and Safety Executive have clearly set out their expectations that businesses need to look after the mental health and stress levels of their staff. The research between pre-existing trauma and adversity in people’s lives and their mental and physical health is concrete.

Delivering the two day understanding trauma and our Level 3 peer mentor in the work place course enables employers to significantly surpass the recommendations outlined in “Thriving at Work: a review of mental health and employers,” an independent review conducted by Lord Dennis Stevenson and Paul Farmer.

Developing a pro-active bottom up strength based culture of wellness and resilience. Rather than a top down reactive response to mental health.

Level 3 Accredited Course in Peer Mentoring in the Workplace

Our Trauma focused peer mentoring Accredited Course give the students the skills they need to support people to develop the resilience to flourish, understand how underlying trauma and or adversity can shape destructive behaviours and know when to sign post to professional interventions.

We recognise that each organisation we work with has a unique staff base and we have a number of core units and will co-create bespoke units that meet the needs of your organisation.

Why Deliver This Course

This one-year accredited course stems from extensive experience in the Corporate Leadership sector and in delivering peer mentoring within the third sector. It was recognized that many employees are affected by trauma and adversity accumulated over the years, leading to behaviours that can be challenging for both the individual and the organization.

Format

We collaborate closely with employers to design a bespoke Level 3 Accredited Course, incorporating core and customised units that address the specific needs of their staff. This program is delivered over a 12-month period, providing both challenges and support to enable learners to become highly effective peer mentors. Additionally, we offer ongoing supervision and further lifelong learning opportunities upon course completion.
